Hero armor upgrade - Guild Wars Forums

Is hero armor upgrade something that's character-based? Meaning I have to and do the Dajkah Inlet mission with each of my characters if I want to upgrade the hero Jin's armor for each of my characters?

Or do I get to do it just once and all my characters have Jin with upgraded armor? (I suspect it's character-based, but just wanna check).
